The Bosque Leaves Quilt is a 52"x52" lap sized throw quilt, featuring a geometric leaf applique pattern. Instructions for both raw edge machine applique and for needle turned applique are included - take your pick!
I've included a coloring book style illustration of the quilt top too, so you can color in your fabric ideas before committing. I also created 4 alternate quilt layout ideas to spark your imagination.
In Albuquerque where I live, the Bosque refers to the stretch of open space on either side of the Rio Grande. "Bosque", of course, means forest in Spanish. The Bosque is home to giant cottonwood trees, willows, porcupines, coyotes, sandhill cranes, owls, and all number of living things. I go to the Bosque almost daily for a walk or run with my dog, and I love walking through the willow stands by the river while Piper jumps in to cool off. It's one of the most relaxing places to me, and this quilt is a tribute of sorts.
